Designer J.Artola takes his expertise from the time being senior designer at Frye to ready up an extensive shoe collection for the first time under his own name. Inspired by the first explorers, cobblers and entrepreneurs who founded the city of New Amsterdam back in the early 17th, the collection comprises sturdy yet practical footwear such as bulky work boots, but also comfortable moccasins, all sharing an unusual yet modern design language. Further notably, each boot exhibits a map of old lower Manhattan laser etched onto the sole – a unique signature that completes an overall compelling look.
