The German Audi Design Studio team has joined forces with Austrian pianoforte manufacturer Bösendorfer deviating a bit from the road to dedicate their attention to reinterpret the historically established appearance of a Grand Piano. Equivalent to the famous Stradivari violin, it’s the form that makes the sound, thus there was not much room left to interpret. However, with Bösendorfer catering the fine acoustics which they’re known for since 1828, those densely defined limitations offered enough edges for Audi to push the formal appearance a few notches. In result of this balancing act was realized an overall impeccable elegant shape that is pure Audi with several modernist details such as the recessed lid or the Audi color scheme, whilst maintaining brilliant acoustics for the contemporary staging.
