If you’ve not yet heard a thing about the watchmaker Antoine Martin, then you’re definitely not alone as they’ll introduce their first collection at this year’s Basel watch-fair. With the claim to create timekeepers for those who seek something out of the ordinary, Antoine Martin introduces the Quantieme Perpetuel au Grand Balancier watch. Their first attempt to leave a mark in watchmaking history is equipped with a 17.5mm huge balance wheel, hand-wound caliber AM39.001, which has 60 jewels and features a power reserve of 6 days and perpetual calendar inclusively leap year indicator. The case is made of 18kt rosé gold and the dial shows an intertwined play of polish and satin finishing and a reinterpretation of guilloché pattern making it a quiet modern face embraced by classic gold and alligator leather.
