In direct comparison to that vast spectrum of noble drinks and prestigious labeled bottles, a beer sounds and looks pretty usual, and situational inappropriate. However, it’s the man’s outdoor favorite for sweaty, sunny days, and it deserves more attention. Carlsberg Jacobsen Brew House in collaboration with avant-garde artist Marco Evaristti launched the second brew in their Vintage Trilogy that is intended to release special ales to challenge the foundation of established wines in the gourmet restaurant market. The Vintage 2 is a handcrafted beer far from any conventionality, a boundless creation that raises the bar for what a beer can be. The contemporary beer has a jet-black color and unfolds an espresso-like foam that prepares for a distinct taste with side notes of vanilla and mocha, and a subtle hint of peat derived from the use of Scottish malt. After being aged 100 days in a special French Côte d’Or oak barrel this beer is meant to be thoroughly savored.
